The People
The people making it happen…
Hannah Buschhaus, Children's Learning Garden Manager
A certified Master Gardener and plant physiologist by formal training, Hannah finds joy in helping children better understand the science behind the trees they climb and food they eat. Hannah has supported young people’s growth in many places and ways, from horse tripping to planting potatoes. Her favorite garden moment is seeing the smile in a child who has accomplished a challenging project. She loves Scandinavian folk dancing with her husband, leaving wide garden isles as "tractor paths" for her son to "till," and eating kale flowers right off the plant.

When Natalie isn't answering FarmWonders registration questions or balancing the UBC Farm's accounts, she is looking after her MSc research project: 2 Belted Galloway cattle and a flock of chickens. A woman of many talents, Natalie also enjoys cooking amazing chocolate desserts and singing in a choir.
